In Freemasons Hall there is an excellent Museum and Library and Martin Cherry the Librarian realised that a number of researchers were investigating aspects of Freemasonry during the Great War and helped get us together. We have different skills and interests that have been brought to the project.
Mike McCarthy. Project Leader. Expert in Great War battlefields. Researching the battlefield contexts and the biographies of those who fell.
Paul Masters. IT expert and creator and developer of the website for The Great War Masonic Project which catalogues our efforts.
Also thanks to Peter Rudd and all the other contributors who have added valuable information.
During our research we have found similar researches under way in New Zealand, Australia and Canada as well as lodge historians in England who have all extended the brotherhood of Masonic research in finding the men behind the names.
